SUPPLY CHAIN SERVICES IN INDIA– Aquatic Logistics
We believe change is vital. We change, innovate and customize our services.
One of the main ways that businesses that produce goods or services can maximize their budgets is through supply chain management (SCM). Logistics, the management of physical, informational, and human flows to optimize them and prevent resource wastage, also plays a significant role in supply chains.
The significance of logistics in supply chain management, which includes numerous suppliers, transit points, and points of departure and destination, will be discussed below.
The Functions of Logistics within Supply Chain Management
- Management and design of the warehouse. In supply chain management, the role of logistics encompasses multiple responsibilities at once: beginning with the design of storage facilities, progressing through the requirements for product storage, and culminating in the introduction of a variety of automation solutions (such as machinery for transporting goods within warehouses);
- The process of packaging. The tasks of packaging, tracking, and accounting make it possible to control goods from beginning to end on their way to the customer or distributor.
- Product transportation. This includes working with the company’s fleet of vehicles and cargo carriers: determining their routes, fuel costs, etc.;
- Managing customs. When a company plans to ship goods internationally, it is critical that the goods follow all customs regulations and contain all required documentation during transportation.
- Working with returned and written-off goods. There is also a concept known as “reverse logistics,” which specifies the procedures for transporting returned or discarded goods and their disposal.
